MELODIES & DESIRES

Swedish, young, cute and on everyone's lips the last months... You probably know who I'm talking about. Yup, the adorable and charismatic Lykke Li. It's hard not to be fascinated by her cute voice, the bittersweet lyrics and the dreamy disco melodies.

Lykke Li's debut album stands out from the pop crowd. And when all the cool guys decide to remix her songs, it just gets better.

The Fred Falke remix has been everywhere on the electronica blog scene, but it's too good to miss. Lykke Li is good. Fred Falke is great. Metronomy and Black Kids also catched the wave and did a remix of the same single, which by the way was recently released in the UK.

The Hood Internet did an interesting mashup. Six impressive tracks. It's Lykke Li vs Holy Ghost, Digitalism, The Field, Hercules & Love Affair, Gui Boratto and last but not least Booka Shade.

Another Swedish wonder, the dj duo Dada Life, recently posted their June Mix which included an awesome remix of 'Lykke Li - Dance Dance Dance'. The whole mix makes you want to dance and is highly recommended.

P.S. If you haven't checked out 'Kleerup feat Lykke Li - Until We Bleed' from one of the previous entries here. Go!

TRIPLE FORCE

What do you get when the owner of the house label "Work It Baby" and "Compuphonic" decides to work with an electro DJ and record producer from Chicago and one of the hottest French producers of today? You get the collaboration of three individuals of the modern music; Kris Menace, Felix Da Housecat and Fred Falke. Triple talent!

The result is Falke's signature beachy bass lines meshed with a bunch of spacey synths mixed all together to something 'Artificial'.

The single is newly released and steaming hot. It made my day so artificial hot that I just wanted to pile into a pool of ice cubes.

Kris Menace feat Felix Da House & Fred Falke - Artificial
(house, 2008) (low bitrate)

This is their first time working all three together (and we're hoping it's not the last!), but it's not the very first time they've teamed up or touched each others tunes.

(progressive house, 2007)

Felix Da Housecat - Something 4 Porno (Kris Menace Remix)
(trance, 2007)

Now we're just waiting for Fred Falke and Felix Da Housecat to mix something up.

Sprinkle sprinkle.
